Marko, could you please review the youth academy settings? Honestly, it doesn’t seem like it’s working in a balanced way.
On the test server, it was clearly overtuned. After the adjustment, it now feels heavily overtuned in the opposite direction. There are many level 6 players who, so far, haven’t received a single even remotely decent player. We’re talking about a weekly cost of 2.4M, which is very high, with virtually no return.
At the same time, several 30–31 year old players are already announcing retirement at the end of the season. If the academy was really meant to produce such weak players even at mid/high levels, then squads should have been generated with a lower average age to allow for a longer replacement cycle. As it stands, the trend is clear: the average team ratings will keep dropping.
Players are retiring, and we’re not seeing new quality generations coming through to compensate for that. This directly impacts the long-term balance of the game.
I know you’ve added many great features recently, but the current situation with the youth academy is a serious issue. I’ve also noticed that some topics haven’t received a response yet, so I’d really appreciate it if you could clarify how the system is intended to work and whether any adjustments are planned.

📌 Just to tell at the beginning that we are monitoring the game daily (literally every single day) and working on it most of the time that we have beside our jobs. So, we are keeping everything under control. If there is some adjustment needed don't doubt that we will do it in the right way. Sometimes it's urgent to react, sometimes some more time is welcome to completely assess the situation and decide whether some adjustment is needed and in which way to implement it.
It's important for all Managers, NOT to push facilities at levels that can be problem for their finances. The financial situation will be better over time as the Teams are growing and now when all Competitions arrived.
I suggest you not to pay full attention to players' average rating at the moment as it is where it is now and it can drop a little bit, but it can go up as well.
The system is built precisely and in very little details to work perfectly once when it gets in a balance and we are aware that it takes some time for it to reach those levels. Teams needs to grow, some other things needs to be fulfilled and some seasons need to pass. Adjusting it now could provide more harm than benefits in a long term. But again, we are monitoring it daily and we will react if the need appears.
Also, I advise you (and all other Managers) to change the perspective a bit because you might missing something important. Instead focusing on costs that are 1.2 or 2.4M per week and not getting great talents that you might wish, keep in mind that you are getting the best young players that anyone can pull right now 😀
One more thing. There is on one winning strategy like push all to max, or just stack money etc. The system is planned carefully so it needs Managerial skills, flexibility, adaptability etc. Any strategy could be winning in hands of good Manager.
For the end, as I wrote earlier today, all of you benefit at least a bit by starting this early before we start bringing in new Managers. We need 2-3 seasons more to complete everything that we planned. Then, we will have all competitions active, the whole Game and the final version of Manual.

Understood. I know i’ve been a bit annoying on the forum, always criticizing or suggesting things. I’ll step away from here for a while and just wait to see how things develop. Thank you for the response!

It's not necessary to consider that annoying. We would rather see it as a huge, irrepressible wish that the Game improve fast and in the right way :)
