There is no space for negative childish emotions from my side here as a game owner, if we wish a bright perspective for this community :)
I started this topic aiming to give better understanding of ME and explanations as well as realistic projections about the pace of development, its consistency and timings for some specific features like ME additions.
Including all mentioned it is not planed to drastically affect the win rates because we are very satisfied with them right now by following game outcomes and they mostly represent real life outcomes based on large sample.
We have in plans many additions, but in a way to make ME even more detailed and realistic with more ways that Managers could affect the match preparation and team's strategy.
In the match that you have mentioned, when all penalties for wrong positions are included, your team had average 30.8 rating and the opponent Sim FC had 28.2 +small home ground advantage boost.
I would rather describe this match as a clash of two pretty similar sides, instead of that one is a clear favorite. It's unrealistic to have 100% win rate in this kind of matches. Your dominant 1st position on the league table shows your team's strength and consistency, but realistic expectations would make it easier to pass over some loses :)
IMPORTANT NOTE - Once again, this can't be considered and compared only by this approach, because it is not completely representative how the ME works (it is rather very detailed), but this way, you can get some rough insight and feedback what is approximate difference between two teams just taking into account overalls.
I'm not looking for "childish emotions" as you alluded, I'm looking for an acknowledgement that there is something seriously with the ME.
I can give five more good examples in between that game and today's game (today's game is ridiculous game btw).
Conclusion, there is a reason why there are leagues that started out strong and now are ghost town, with no more than 4 active users. At least let's keep the current user base and not loose more.
I've played the other game that this game is "emulating". There are some good things in it, but you can't look the other way when someone is bringing criticism to the table.
Not patronizing, you seem to be a nice guy.
Just want a decent ME, and then I will bring new users to the game and buy a sunscribtion or two...until then, I wish you good luck.
Not posting for a while, doesn't leed to anything for now. Just quietly waiting in my ghost league.
@stratego - It's hard to understand someone's emotions or behavior if not seen in person, so I wanted to emphasize the approach from our side where there is no space for "being upset" or so.
stratego: "Conclusion, there is a reason why there are leagues that started out strong and now are ghost town, with no more than 4 active users. At least let's keep the current user base and not loose more."
I would be very happy to dive into discussion about those things, but it would become massive, wasting time and energy via typing. In person, it would be different story, but we are unable to do that.
So, to make it simple, some level of trust is needed. Everything what's happening is with a reason. We are investing huge amount of energy, time and financial resources with a clear plan.
If this will help, my prediction is that we will complete everything we planned for this crucial first stage of game development within several seasons. Probably 3-4 more. Then we will sit down and create further plan how to continuously and steadily improve DS over time.
At the end, at the beginning of this forum topic, I have explained how we can watch football matches on TV where teams rated 70 or 75 can dominate (or at least win) against some strongest teams rated 80-85 (FC game series ratings). I gave some examples tho. We are taking in account those real football relations and outcomes to create ME here.
If unexpected results don't happen, everyone would win on sport betting easy. But surprises occur daily, dozens of times.
i would like to give my 2 cents on this topic, from my point of view.
In my personal life within other ventures, i am a Co-founder of a tech/marketing company in Greece, and CEO of a tech company with 30 developers within our ranks, and total 100 employess in Cyprus . Hence, i do have experience on product development eventhough my industry space is totally different.
What Marko is trying to do-while probably working full time- is very hard. We need to support the project in a constructive way and not whine on each thing we dont like. From my experience a good product matures after several seasons/years. The most important and necessary skill to use, is to listen to your audience. Marko is 100% doing that and thats the 1st ingredient for a succesfull recipe.
I am willing to help if my expertees are necessary - so Marko feel free to reach out.
Thanks
